Re: Chevrolet ohv head on a Ford Model A block adapter plate

Wouldn't you just use a normal A gasket under the adapter and a Chevy gasket under the head? If not, why not?

Re: Stuck valve?

I would ream the hole until it cleaned up and make a new guide to fit. I would not rely on Loctite.

Re: Cleaning the radiator

I think your process will work. I did a similar cleaning on a tractor several years ago. Left the vinegar in for about 3 weeks, cut grass, worked it as usual. Flushed the crap out and bingo, worked...

Re: No more VT registrations for out of state

Pa. is a title sate. Many years ago I sold a pickup at Carlisle to a guy from N.H. He didn't want the title. I made him go to the on sight notary and explained the story. I had her fill out the title...

Re: Cost to attend Hershey

It may have been someone's joke, but not mine. When I said there are showers in the middle of the Chocolate field I THINK there still are. In the big concrete bathroom. I know several that camp on...

Re: Cars Stolen…be on the lookout.

I looked for Air Tags on the internet and could only find them that look like key fobs and track 250 feet. What am I doing wrong. What is the range you guys are buying?

Re: Cars Stolen…be on the lookout.

Speaking of stolen cars, can I change the subject to Easy Passes? In Pa. if an Easy Pass is in a stolen car the turnpike commission can red flag that pass and track it's use. The cop involved with my...

Re: Cars Stolen…be on the lookout.

Read an article a few weeks back about airtag. A guy had one on his MC and it was stolen. He found the garage the bike was in and popo would not get involved because he had no proof who took it.

Tie it to the bumper and drag it up and down the driveway a few times.

Re: Hershey, is it really that big?

This week there is a RV show on the same parking lots as are used for the flea market. It is the biggest in the US and is advertised as covering 33 football fields.

Re: Engine rust

No, but I have used vinegar. It works great on my tractor which 4 cylinder. I fill it and mow maybe 8 hours with it. Lots of flush.

Re: Engine rust

Do a PH test on what is in the block. Then adjust accordingly, either acid or base.

Re: 1930 A crank threads

I would use a keyed insert or Time-cert. Time-cert uses the same thread as a Heli-coil.

Re: Cleaning the gas tank in place?

Fill the tank with a molasses solution, let sit for about a week. It will eat all the crud and rust.

IF Dura Sleeve is the same as Speedi Sleeves I think they are still made. I have used them several times with excellent results.

Re: Speedway Motors museum

Been there twice, maybe again this year. I'd love to hear the one with ball bearings in the tubes that act to open the valves. And the 1908? rotary valve four cylinder.

The article I read said they went public last year and have to make the stock holders happy. What is next?
