Re: brass Ford script plate ID

The stamping is what I question(ed) too. Just seems out of place. It's small: 2.75" x 1.5".

Re: Classtique Upholstery

@Jeff/Illinois: Removing tongue-from-cheek, I wonder where someone from Germany/Europe would go for vintage auto interior materials? Assuming it would be the U.S. market, but could be a wrong...

dome lamp ID

Is this an A-13776(A-C) dome lamp by chance? The bezel doesn't look right comparing it to the RG&J Standards depiction.

Re: Classtique Upholstery

Loooking at the problem from a slightly different angle, I wish there was a way to part-time mentor someone on the restoration skills or occupations soon to be needed such as upholstery and many...

Re: Do you own a 1930 Standard three window Fordor Sedan.

I have an early '31 (non-slant) standard fordor. Lived in Iowa most of it's life (Ca now), and no rust in the lower cowls. Either luck or good maintenance back in the day.

Re: Plating

I hear very good things (all the way from CA) about Swiss Plating in Troy, MI. 248/830.6066 Zach. For strictly chrome, Auto & Truck Bumpers, Inc in Hayward, CA seems to have a good reputation as...

Re: Wiring harness question

I had an excellent experience with Tyree Harris (also) and was happy I gave him a call. He also custom-made a length I was missing as well.

Jim Diehl (Cadillac, MI) did mine in February of '21. I was very happy with his work, knowledge, professionalism, etc. Highly recommended.

My vote for the most (and best)diplomatic, non passive aggressive reply. Thanks for that one. And you're right Oldbluoval, some days are better than others for some (or all of us)....

I ended...

It's a competitive market out there. If we all...

Re: plating finishes: interior handles

The absence of 'butler' terminology from the plater made me stop and think. Too much invested to make a mistake at this point. Plater is on top of it (thanks for the reply Big Hammer).
Not sure on...

Thank you Werner (and all) for the help. An auction item so I thought it best to go silent until I was certain I'd be able to acquire. Mission accomplished. When I have in my possession (4-7 days)...
