Re: Mail order dual exhaust systems

I don’t know about their car exhausts, but the single pipe F1 stainless system I bought from Waldrons fit well, I used original hangers. I went with the aggressive style muffler and it’s perfect, not...

Re: Overdrive Transmission in a 1952 F1

Lots of good stuff on here about this conversion. Another option to get a little more speed is putting a 3.54 R&P in the Dana 44. It will get you a few more mph. That option isn’t cheap either...

Re: Found Very Concerning Issue

Condensation is normal, our v8 does it also. If you are running rich or the exhaust system is old it tends to be stained black. Even my BMW has condensation at the exhaust on cold start ups.

If...

Re: F1 truck MC bench bleed

Thanks team for the insight. The reason why I circled back on the MC was because it seems like I have to push the pedal further on our 52 build than our 50 driver to get a taillight response. I was...

F1 truck MC bench bleed

I have read about bleeding the master cylinder on the bench. I thought I would try this with a new Wagner MC I bought. I was going to assemble it complete with the three way fitting and stop light...

Re: 50 F1 Parking Cable Boot

There is a place close to here, a tech shop, I am going to run one by there and see if they can make them. My wife thinks they can, will report back in a week or so.

Re: 50 F1 Parking Cable Boot

The guys over on FTE had a good idea, making those with a 3D printer. I need to bug my wife for a drawing and try to print one.

Re: 0BA distributor overhaul

Thanks guys. I pressed in the lower bushing tonight and will press in the upper bushing tomorrow and ream to size in the manual. I am realizing all the adjustments on the points and point plate...

Re: 0BA distributor overhaul

All of my parts are on the way. First thing I am going to do is press in new bushings. I have the manzel tool for that so should be in good shape. Manual says not to ream the bushings but rather...

Re: Help with an 8BA head.

It looks like you still have enough hanging out to work with. I would hit that area with a MAPP torch and some wax. Let it go through a couple of heat/cool cycles. I think you can get it out. Pretty...

Re: 0BA distributor overhaul

Thanks guys. I have the original pressed between two pieces of sheet metal to see if it straightens out. My fear was that it warped a little when I cleaned it and I was afraid it would rub on the...

0BA distributor overhaul

My night project has been tearing apart an old 0BA distributor that I received from Ross some time ago. Figure itís good to have a spare. Everything is broken down, ready to restore each piece, and...

Re: Champion H-9 plugs

Good intel guys, thank you. I am going to restore these as suggested but it seems like a waste from a looks/time perspective. I am pretty sure the plug boot is going to cover the top of the plug...

Champion H-9 plugs

Guys I picked up a set of five ribbed H-9 plugs for our 52 F1 build. They have made in Canada rather than US but figure that is closer to original than new Autolite 216ís if we ever show it.

The...

Re: Turn signal switch, 1950 F3

What is wrong with your original switch? They have adjustments and lots of places that need a little lube. I have rebuilt several, usually starting with soldering new wires on the switch board. I...

F1 front drums

I picked up a pair of original used front F1 drums. One looks like it has 0.010 of wear and one looks like 0.020 of wear. Assuming I can get them to clean up at 0.030 or 0.040 over and the wear limit...

Re: D44 R&P pattern

Buttoned up the case tonight. Installed the seal and put a little anaerobic sealer on the splines of the flange. Torqued down the nut using some red loctite. The only thing that concerned me some...
