All,
I am now looking for an additional carb (Holley 94 8ba) for my new dual intake? Does anyone have an extra?

Re: catch 22 on my hood removal 1950

I got it! The weld nuts were broken on the inside but was able to get both the rear screws out then tilt the hood enough that the trim slid out just over the windshield. I took the screws out for...

Re: catch 22 on my hood removal 1950

Yes! When I get the bolts loose I will grab one of my daughters to help. They are both good kids but not much in the grease monkey realm.

Lightbulb catch 22 on my hood removal 1950

I started in on my hood removal and the hinge bolts seem to have nuts on the back and will loosen but will not come out. I thought I could take off the rear hood stiffener and it would then just...

It idles well but and I can see the squirtters working and the nozzle bars spraying fuel. As soon as I give it throttle, it's like the ignition is shut off. It is...

Re: flathead overheating/maybe

I have the same set-up. If you get a smaller pulley your fan will pull more RPM at idle. I did this on my father.in.laws and it worked. It took awhile to find a pulley but we drilled it out and...

Re: Stumbling 8BA went drivable to bad

Ken,

Sorry the 1 was covered by the circle so it just looks like the word "turn". It does not seem like that is the problem.

Re: Stumbling 8BA went drivable to bad

Thanks,

I did turn it down. The float is set to 1-7/16 on the money. It is better but something is still happening when it warms up. My temp gauge is in the middle but I am thinking about...

Re: Stumbling 8BA went drivable to bad

Mart,

I just got it on the road. It must have had blocked jets. It runs well with throttle and I am still working on the idle- kind of jumpy. It used to idle better even before the rebuild.
