Find the numbers on the back area where the intake sits. My 53 EAC has a B. The head gaskets are Mercury gaskets so I think I am the first person to remove the heads.

I think if you wanted to retain original brakes you should look at the early T bird remote power brake system. Please Early T Bird people what do you think ,

Ray 64 the exhaust is to blow the fumes out. If you don't remove the tank FILL IT WITH WATER .

That is a old very poor way of shrinking a panel. It also gave a foot for the Bondo. You are better off replacing those panels. JMHO

I used a cast corvair reversed box inside the frame on my 34 and a ford pitman arm fit. I had to file the flats to clock it. and it worked great. But that was 35 years ago.

Wick I'm 76 and beat the hell out of my body until twenty years ago. The four post lift is a must and all of the winches , engine hoists, etc. etc. etc. It hurts like hell but i have to keep moving...

The 1937, 48 case won't have the clearance for the Lincoln input shaft. Get a 78 case or I can sell you a Perfect 48 L/Z case with the factory clearance for those gears for150.00
