Re: Water in gas

Terrific end to the story. And you got some quality time with your great grandson! Everyone's a winner in that scenario.

Re: Cash Value/Sale History of Red Grow's "Betsy"?

Given the car's historical significance, I am surprised that MAFFI isn't keeping it for display purposes. I know they are out of room, but they are building more space.

Re: Town Car

I think they were sold in Lincoln showrooms, hence the fact that one was in a Lincoln showroom. I suspect that someone shopping for a car in a Lincoln showroom would not be too interested in a Model...

I need the parts that attach the horn ring to the steering wheel for my 51 convert. They are the shock pad, contact plate, index plate, spring and associated screws. See attached sketch from the...

Re: Donovan 4 Cylinder

I just looked on Ebay for horoscope cameras. None for $10, but you can get semi rigid or soft wire. What do folks recommend buying?

Re: "Custom" Dual exhaust/Iron Trap Garage

I love that car. Quite a backstory. I don't always like what they do to the cars, but they are a real asset to the hobby and are saving a lot of cars. I am also inspired by their videos.

Re: Bizzare headlight lens

There were many "improved" aftermarket headlight lenses available - probably hundreds. This is one of them.

Re: OT trip to England

We went to the UK a couple of years ago. It was nice weather, so that played a part. We loved London. There is a lot to do and see there. Also visited Stonehenge, the Cotwolds, Stratford on Avon,...

I am 6'2" and 200 lbs and drive my 28 roadster and 30 town sedan everywhere all the time. A little tight getting in and out but driving is fine.

Re: Bad Inner Tubes/Ruined Tires or Tubeless

I was using Coker radial tubes and had failures in one tube and determined that given what the failure looked like, that it was the label inside the tire that caused the problem. With Coker's tubes,...

Re: Gauges, Meaningful Ones

Re: Radial Or Bias Ply Tires

I bought some flaps for my Excelsior radials for my 30 TS a few years ago. No way I could get the flaps inside the tires, so I left them out and returned them. No problems in four or five years....

Re: Rear axle and diff

One thing you need to pay attention to is how the key goes into the slot. I don't think the red book mentions that, but according to Bratton's "Worn or broken keys can cause many problems. Taper end...
