My AOD book is in the barn, but if I remember correctly Ford went with electronic control module in 1992. It was AOD-E, looks the same will bolt up to older motors, but takes electronic control...

I bought the adapter kit from Speedway and mounted an 1987 AOD transmission to my 8ba. Can't say what year the block actually is, but Mercury crankshaft is 49 :)

Trying to get the TV cable...
