Then the Seller should have set the meeting at the bank
if accepting cash was a concern.

A prospective buyer would be more likely to
try and pay with a forged cashiers check
than counterfeit...

The prospective buyer brought a mechanic to check
out the car along with the cash to buy it.

Where he got the cash is none of your business.
