Yes we need pictures. I can't see how an oversize bolt would work if an insert

head, can be furnished in most desired compression ratios. Plane finish $36.95"

You can only adjust the amperage output, the battery controls the voltage.
If you are sure you have a 6 volt battery with positive terminal to ground then
you probably have a bad connection between...

"Routing the wiring to the lights at the rear, I have to negotiate this cross member. I figured the wire should go inside the frame rail wherever possible, but I can't see how to do that here....
