Re: Colonel Sanders

I'm almost sure I remember seeing a Real McCoy's show with the Mexican hired hand driving a 28 or 29 phaeton. The one shown here is a 1931 I think. Must have had to up date somewhere in the show.

Re: How much weight in a attached trunk

The reason I carry the extra gas on long tours only is we can't buy non-ethanol gas just anywhere here and I want burn ethanol anymore. My trunk is off an old 1924 Packard and is a little big for a...

Engine lopping in first and second gear

Drove my 30 tudor today and noticed that in first and second it seemed to try to lope. It runs perfect going down the road at 50 miles per hour down to 10. I played with the advance but didn't seem...

Sealer for removeable trunk

I have an old Packard trunk I use on my 30 Tudor most of the time. It is covered with some kind of fabric that was coated with some kind of sealer from the factory but that was over 90 years ago. ...

Re: Exh. manifold to muffler; does anyone make....

I've had several flanges formed at muffler shops. About a year ago I had one made to weld on a muffler that was in bad shape at the flange. the shop didn't even charge me for it.

Re: V-belt and very small pulleye

I made new steel pulleys for both my alternator cars. I didn't like the small diameter and belt contact. I was concerned at first about them not turning the alternators fast enough but I can't tell...

Door upper and lower rubber bumpers

Has anyone got any tricks on how to remove old rubber bumpers that are original and hard as a rock? This is a 1930 Tudor. I don't want to brake the metal dove tail brackets lose from the doors. ...

Re: Alternative to anti-freeze to stop corrosion

I don't understand the fuss about using something other than antifreeze. I've used mostly Preston antifreeze for 57 years and never had one problem. I knew a man that heard that kerosene was a good...

Re: What's the latest you can remember anyone using an A?

I grew up with a family of 2 boys and a girl and their only transportation was a 30 or 31 sedan. Sometime in the late sixtys the mom and kids all packed up and went to see her brother and his family...

Re: Matching photos, I think.....

I wonder what vintage wheels are on the car. I had one just like it on an "A" when I was a kid. It was a 16" with solid steel center and spooks on front side.

Re: king pin fit

If you got slop in the axle hole itself you got problems. With the hole in the axle clean and the spindle bolt clean you should have a slip fit or maybe even a peck through fit. You may be able to...

I'm with Brent on soldering a radiator. Clean and tin first on both parts. I always used a small tip on a oxy/acet torch back when I had 5 dump trucks on the road. I used acid flux most of the...

Re: Block Crack Sealer
