Pre-purchase car inspection in Canada

I am trying to buy an antique car in Napanee, Canada located about 2 hrs east of Toronto. I am afraid to do the pre-purchase inspection myself because of my Covid vulnerable age over eighty and the...

Re: 28, 29 vs 30,31 What do you like any why?

To me, the 28-29's represent the end of an era where most cars looked like they were influenced by carriage design....... primitive, angular, with tall tires and a high stance..... no flowing lines. ...

Re: Patching Inner Tubes

I don't think today's glue patches hold a candle to the old hot patches......the ones with metal shells you clamped tightly over the hole in the tire and then lit a match to ignite the sulfur type...

Re: Roadster windshield problems.

Seems like a lot of trouble to fix your stanchions so the windshield won't hit the gas cap. In reality, how often would you ride with the windshield down? You live in New Brunswick, Canada. I was...

Re: Carlisle

Look up the CDC site. If a person dies of cancer but also has covid when he dies, the death is recorded as a covid death, thus skewing the numbers of deaths caused by covid. Same if a person has any...

Yes, the virus us real and it is scary. My wife and I take careful precautions. However, don't believe everything you read or hear on TV from media that has an agenda. You really don't know the...

Re: Posting this for a chuckle, unless you're grumpy, in which case you may hate it

If he included the tires and tubes and maybe a car to mount them on, it might be a good deal.

Re: Fan blade

Why go through the trouble of checking the fan blade every time you drive the car which may have hairline cracks you can't see when there are other options including a new aluminum or plastic fan? I...

Re: Seatbelts in a Roadster

Stewgee,

What does the fact that it's a roadster have to do with not installing 3 point belts? Not a lot of extra effort to install the shoulder parts once you've started the project for the lap...

Re: Fan blade

I like originality but with fan blades, I'll stay with plastic. I too discovered a cracked steel one before it let loose. Aluminum ones are probably ok but they were out of stock at all suppliers...

Re: Where to find Ethanol free gasoline in your area

For years, there was only one non-ethanol station in our area. Recently, two more were added so it looks like the restrictions have been lifted a bit or public pressure is gaining traction. There...

Re: Swirled Glass Shift Knobs

Thanks for all the replies. I was surprised to find the glass knobs were available in the 30's as I thought they were just a recent fad. I learn something new every day.

Re: When is a "Model A" no longer a "Model A"
