Simple question on cleaning

Team,

It seems to me the hardest part to keep clean on my Model A is the wheels & tires

I dont like to use water or a pressure washer to keep my wheels clean and its seems there always...

Watched my dad weld many gas tanks back in the day. He aways remove, drain then flush the tanks with exhaust gases from a running motor with a hose or pipe for one hour. Warm exhaust gases evaporated...

Wont idle well?

Just all at once my Model A wont start or idle well...
Runs fine at speed.

In Michigan you could just put a slow moving tri-angle on the back of her and as long as you didnt drive over 25MPH shes legal.

Line boring main bearings

Team,

Trying to come up with a set-up on my Bridgeport mill or maybe a lathe to line bore the main bearings to accept bearing inserts.

Any other machinist types out there that have already...

Block cleaning consern

Team,

I rebuild a fair amount of motors, however I'm just starting my first Model A engine.

Here is my issue the machine shop i normally use normally cleans blocks by baking about 600-700 deg...

Oldest Ford returns home

Seen this 1903 Model A Ford up for auction here in the fourm a few months ago.....

Bill Ford purchased it, I'm very happy to see her return home. Now on display at Ford World Headquartes....
