Drug another home from 30-40 years of dry storage to ad to my huge pile. Has interesting air cooled aluminum converter. Not sure exact year prob 52-53. Is this converter the same as 55-56 T-birds....

Bryan I have used the Melling M19 numerous times with zero issues. They had melling cast into them. All were purchased off eBay but quite some time back.

Take all the pics you can. Tell previous owner & then pull heads to see what you have. If there’s no issues all your out us time & head gaskets.

Yes you will need merc pistons to suit the merc crank. No big deal to install chev valves. They a longer but if you use a reground cam typically work just fine. Cheers
