56 Mercury parking brake cable

Hi Guys....here in the UK I can't find a supplier for a parking brake complete for my 56 Mercury Monterey 2door, (I,v had it just a few weeks)
Can anybody point me in the right direction over there...

Spent hours on tinternet and here in the UK no chance of getting the auto ring gear required. Plenty in the US selling for manual gearboxes not Auto....tried Rock Autos, the same, can anybody help...

Thanks for your help,no bowl on the pump and fuel reaching the carb, years ago I did a compression test,the cylinders varied with the lowest being around the 80s and the car fired up ok previously,...

Yup agree,when I restored my 39 coupe banjo I had to remove a rear window to avoid an extreme bend...the wheel rim was broken to the metal in some places and cracked all over,I used a two part weld...

Yup you are right ,I will wire the button to permanent live later,hopefully a wack on the solenoid will unstick it if that is the problem...early morning here so will be playing around with it later...

yup,electrics is not my thing,it's wired from a live which is activated when the ignition is turned on to the starter button then from the button to the small wire on the solenoid ,worked fine till I...

Well thanks guys,I think I,v got the idea,I,ll get the 6 volt one working and when the 12 volt solenoid arrives I will decide whether or not to use it needing a new two wire starter button.

It's a 6 volt solinoid on a 12 volt system ( I,v ordered a 12 volt solinoid) the one with the button under which I,v taken off was also 6 volt and the engine turned from the dash button no problem...
