Nothing special about the Model A to the general public in my opinion. I’ve had several Model A Fords and my 1936 Ford Cabriolet gets just as much attention as a Model A.

The Optima Red Top 6 v is well worth the price. Bought one about a year ago for my 36 Cabriolet. Car starts quicker and seems to run better with the Optima. You can order direct from Optma.

The car was built to run with a six volt electrical system. Increasing battery voltage by 33 percent is not a good idea. You can see when bulbs burn out but what about damage to the coil, etc? ...

Thanks guys. Will check all connections and grounds in a day or two. When I do get the car started, it runs smooth and strong. Hoping I don’t need to change condenser. The coil is the more modern...

Have a 36 Cabriolet with 13 year old Optima battery which does not seem to hold a charge. Ordered a new 6 volt from Optima which will be delivered day before thanksgiving.
