I have had this problem to ,to solve it you can Glue two pieces of 3mm neoprene rubber mix together with contact adhesive .The tube needs to be fitted as well , that worked for me ..

Water expands with heat ,Most flatheads will dump about a quret or so ,its a low pressure system . Once the water temperature rises excess water will need to go out a expansion tank will capture...

Down here in NZ A UK TK Bedford hood is very popular to replace the Roadster 1/4 ,I think the Chev being a GM connection will have the same curves

No GB i didn't build that one a buddy here did ,it was in very bad shape at least the cab was he had to pull it completely apart ,This next truck is a metal finished NZ one

I think that is a generic image as you say the 37s dont have the bulge like 33/34 ,I was just discussing this with a buddy here the import costs would be over the top so he intends to make one...
