There are still some WW2 hangars around here in Nebr. with an added cutout in the middle of the doors to fit the 29s. They were built for 17s and 24s. What an era that was! A proud moment for all...

That happened to me in my 52 Merc...when taking off the gas cap there was a "whoosh"...tank vent was plugged starving the engine. It ruptured the fuel pump diaphragm too.
