I have a generator, not an alternator. I did just install a new 2 bladed aluminum fan from Synders which is supposed to be a copy of the original except thats its aluminum.
Possibly my crank...

I bought the belt fron Synders. Its the only belt they have for the A. Part # A-8620

Fan Belt replacement

I'm replacing the fan belt on my '29 A. The old one had lots of cracks.
I loosened the generator, Its pushed up against the engine block. I have the new belt over the fan pulley and crank pulley....

That does look good. But I've already got the water outlet gooseneck tapped for the water temp sensor.

I agree with you Gene. Tomorrow I'm putting in a new Brassworks heavy duty radiator. A leak less water pump. An aluminum fan to replace my original. After that turn signals. My 7 tooth steering box...

I did what MCHinson and Bruce recommended. Knowing my coordination is not what it used to be I removed the front bumper first. 2 bolts and thats off. It all went smoothly.

Success! I let it sit with PB Blaster for 2 days. But I really couldn't get to the threads because the base of the radiator cap covers them The suggestion to use leather over the base to protect it...
