"In my '41 p-u would a hole in the fuel pump diaphragm cause raw gas to drip into the crankcase? I suspect the diaphragm may have deteriorated as a result of the corn gas here in CA? The truck ran...

I noticed today that both heads are cast marked Ford and an A and then stamped with the number 52 below. Shouldn't one of the heads have a cast B (as in left and right bank?) What does the 52 mean?...

Went to start my '41 PU yesterday - all went fine, except I got distracted and forgot to switch the ignition to ON. Cranked and cranked...battery was weak to begin with but I recovered my error too...

At 79 I have a really tough time getting on and off my creeper anymore. Once on I generally roll under the vehicle and take a nap prior to finishing the task at hand.

Everyone in here seems to talk about 8BA V8's. What designation would I have as my stock '41 85 hp flathead? :rolleyes:
