Re: Car Cover???

MMM Just a thought. With $$$ tight for you right now consider a roll up cover for front and back. I picked up a 10 footer for our patio for $100 at Home Depot. It is a mesh fabric so I'm not sure if...

Engine I.D. numbers

Looking at a 33 1/2 ton pickup in a high end street rod shop. It has a flathead v-8 21 studs. Are the engines stamped like the four bangers and if so where on the block should I look.

Thanks, TB

Re: Lower Level = Leak Less?

MMM. Is it prudent to be driving the car at say, 40-45 MPH while touring and running with less than engineered oil volume. At some point will there be not enough oil for the pump to pick up and...

Re: Front spring and steering arms

Depends on who made the springs. The integrity of the steel is questionable with some off shore products, Think safety.

Re: Water leak.

I have heard of wrapping string before torqueing. I had the same issue. PLEASE don't let anyone convince you to try sodium silicate (AKA Waterglass). It stopped the leak all right and everything...

Re: Cross shaft interference--rear motor mounts?

MMM If memory serves me there is a difference between right and left mounts. There may be an "L" and R" stamped on them I THINK.

Re: Broken clutch arm

I believe Snyder's offers three actually. The "crude" version, a new forged unit and the modern and imo Bullitt proof version.

Re: Little Trailer behind a Model A

MMM Swivel trailers are pretty cool. I did some research a few years back. Look up Double H. I think they were in New Jersey. They made the swivel mechanism.

Look up swivelwheel.com. Interesting...

Re: Door welting
