Re: A bomb hoist for the rear bumper

Good find!

Re: A Plea for Safety

My Doctor absolutely forbids me getting on the roof or even on a step ladder and my wife enforces that mandate. Probably good advice but it...

Re: What generator is this?

I wish I could find a couple working generators and starters for my 59 AB locally. Everything I've found has had problems, generally bad fields. I keep thinking I'll try to rewind them but can't seem...

Re: Theft Prevention Ideas??

A manual transmission will prevent most drive-away thefts. Most people under 50 don't know how to operate them. A thief with a car trailer would be very difficult to stop if they are determined. ...

Re: Negative-Ground Lighter Socket in a Positive-Ground Car.

I did it the easy way with one of the magic boxes that changes 6 volt positive ground to 12 volt negative ground hooked to the cigar lighter. It charges everything and keeps the old Garmen GPS...

Re: A bomb hoist for the rear bumper

Great score. You'll wonder how you ever got by without it.

When I worked in LP gas repair and installation we had several of those bomb hoists mounted in the back of our service trucks. If I...

Welcome aboard!

It's really helpful to know where you are located. That way if another member is close they can possibly help. If you're anywhere near Oregon I have a couple of four speeds that...

Re: OK, so it is older

Reminds me of the tractor that my father-in-law built out of a model A. I don't know what happened to it, I suppose that it was scrapped when the place sold. People of the generation just older than...

Re: 47 pickup speedometer

If you have a local clock/watch repair person they can probably remove them for you. They have special pullers for such work. As fordor41 said "gentle does it" as the pointer is most likely aluminum...

Re: 1940 Clock Help - Merc & Ford
