Re: Needing Assistance -Fifty 8BA- Running Issue

I've seen vehicles/engines do strange things such as this, when the exhaust is plugged or restricted. If you only have single exhaust, this could be even more problematic. Your exhaust could be...

Re: Eastern National Meet - Franklin Tenn. June 1-4 2022

I'd love to go but am wondering if there is Camping available at the host site. Anyone know? I'd tow my '48 behind my motorhome and drive during the event.

Re: 2223 Pendine Prep 14. Big inch Flatty First Start and Drive! Yay!

Good job as usual, Mart. I loved the driving video. I've forgotten what your rear end ratio is in the '32. It seems very responsive, as if it's geared low. Maybe just my bad hearing.

Re: no spark... where to start ?

I agree with Mart. It seems like a lot of folks like to look at the coil as the problem when there is no spark, as the primary cause. In my findings on old Ford tractors mostly, the problem will...

Re: oil filter canister spacers

I found some heavy-walled steel tubing at McMaster-Carr of Chicago to make axle bearing spacers for my field mower a few months ago. You might try them. Propably have some in stainless, as well.

Re: 35 wires, tires and tubes

Does anyone know if that is a McCulloch engine on that custom mower? My dad had one in the 50's, that I wish I still had.

Re: 1948 Super Deluxe 4 Door

That car looks pretty complete. Good luck with it. Did you locate the VIN? I had to remove the left front fender to get a good look at mine when I finally got around to licensing my '48 Tudor. It...

Re: Correct Peep Mirrors for 32 5 window

I'm thinking the most likely culprit for sudden loss of brakes would be the rubber lines. Worth a look.

Re: F 170 Tremec 3+1 transmission install

There is a fellow on the early ford v8 classified site that goes by krylon32 . He sells kits for T5's that would probably work for the 4 speed as well.

Re: 1939 Ford Grill How to clean, polish SS or Chrome

Scotchbrite pads work pretty well on SS, from my experience. They don't scratch as much as Steel wool.

Cool Lithium Ion Battery Operation

Hey troops, the thread on galvanic action/corrosion got me to thinking about Lithium Ion batteries. Tubman, how does Lithium fit into the galvanic table? I'm sure I could have googled an found it,...

Re: What a waste of good thirties Ford bodies.

Did not the early engines (265's) have side mounts built into the bell housing? I helped my brother put a 283 in his '55 pickup and that's the way the rear of the motor was mounted. No rear trans...

Re: Coil Voltage and what is needed

I have found the quality of the points to be the most common failure item on my 6 volt tractor projects. Sometimes all it takes is a file or emery paper, to clean them, but the contact surface must...

Re: Not sure this is a 39 Frame

Wide fives wouldn't be original on a 39 would they? Hydraulic or mechanical brakes? Probably pre-'39 for sure.

Re: 32 Sedan Pendine Prep 2. Will the Flatty go to 3-3/8"? Plus Geoff's new bike!

Hey Mart, I liked this video, especially the bikes. I remember an older neighbor teen who had a 650 Matchless single much like those. I rode that bike once and was considering buying it, but...

Re: 1932 The Deuce, Dually, Dump Truck

Sugarmaker, if that lower channel contributes in any way to the location of the glass front to rear, be sure and get a measurement so that it can be replaced in its current location.
