Re: Needing Assistance -Fifty 8BA- Running Issue
I've seen vehicles/engines do strange things such as this, when the exhaust is plugged or restricted. If you only have single exhaust, this could be even more problematic. Your exhaust could be...

Re: no spark... where to start ?
I agree with Mart. It seems like a lot of folks like to look at the coil as the problem when there is no spark, as the primary cause. In my findings on old Ford tractors mostly, the problem will...

Re: oil filter canister spacers
I found some heavy-walled steel tubing at McMaster-Carr of Chicago to make axle bearing spacers for my field mower a few months ago. You might try them. Propably have some in stainless, as well.

Re: 35 wires, tires and tubes
Does anyone know if that is a McCulloch engine on that custom mower? My dad had one in the 50's, that I wish I still had.

Re: 1948 Super Deluxe 4 Door
That car looks pretty complete. Good luck with it. Did you locate the VIN? I had to remove the left front fender to get a good look at mine when I finally got around to licensing my '48 Tudor. It...

Lithium Ion Battery Operation
Hey troops, the thread on galvanic action/corrosion got me to thinking about Lithium Ion batteries. Tubman, how does Lithium fit into the galvanic table? I'm sure I could have googled an found it,...

Re: What a waste of good thirties Ford bodies.
Did not the early engines (265's) have side mounts built into the bell housing? I helped my brother put a 283 in his '55 pickup and that's the way the rear of the motor was mounted. No rear trans...

Re: Coil Voltage and what is needed
I have found the quality of the points to be the most common failure item on my 6 volt tractor projects. Sometimes all it takes is a file or emery paper, to clean them, but the contact surface must...

I remember a thread on one of these sites, maybe HAMB, where a fellow was quite involved with using Chevy II/Mercruiser engines in his Model A. Charley Stevens comes to mind, not sure if that was him...

Re: A bomb hoist for the rear bumper
GB, I admire your ingenuity! You need to rig up a starter motor to run that hoist! I put one on a Cushman scooter years ago and it went faster than the gas motor ever did. Just not for long, Ha...

Re: 1932 The Deuce, Dually, Dump Truck
