My gun was not heating up enough either and thought it had gone gunny sack. What happened is that the screws that hold the tip in place had loosened up. I retightened them and it works perfectly...

Thought mine was fuel but like you said, it turned out to be the coil on two different engines.

I felt the same until I got this one by Bayco. Nightstick SLR 2120-91. I would throw away all the rest of mine and just keep this one. Google it.

Appears to be a vent. Is it kinked? Did your other gas cap have a vent hole in it?

Yes they ere amazing! My father in law was a carrier Hellcat pilot in the South Pacific. Shoot down twice, never injured, 4 air to air kills and 23 bombing missions.

I have been using two of their units for about four years now. Absolutely no problems. Maybe just lucky or ??? I was using NAPA points and the last set actually came apart with only about an hour on...

I know they are not exactly the same but they are very similar of how they fit into the chrome hood ornament. I have used silicone on both 49s and 50s.

I used a dab of silicone on mine. That will hold it but you can also get it apart if the need arises. Good luck!
