Re: Did I hear this correctly???
"This pair of handsome cars carries the gravitas of being owned by an icon of the American automotive industry."
I wouldn't call Edsel Ford II an, "icon of the American automotive history." His...

Re: Why not a new casting
No, I didn't. What makes you think those would add substantially to the complexity? You're aware that OHV engines have numerous cores in them, too, right?

Re: Why not a new casting

Re: 1932 - 1934 roadster pickup door hinges
It's been years since I looked at the ones I have, but if IIRC two are originals and two are from a car or closed cab that have been modified to work on an open cab.
It'd certainly be possible to...

Re: halibrand models
There are 301 sized "no-change" center sections, which would allow one to use the corresponding larger (stronger) ring and pinion.
I don't know if Halibrand ever made one, but some of the...

Re: 32 winterfront
Pines grilles with 25 louver hoods on open top cars are really baffling, but seem to be a popular combination for some odd reason.

Re: Painted silos
Perhaps so the inside walls are smooth. If there's no insulation (or other modern amenities) in the wall you wouldn't really need to have siding on the exterior of the studs. The porch...

Re: 1932 Ford rumble lid
Nothing says you have to put the seat in your trunk. You could leave out (or remove) the seat springs and riser, leaving you with a top-opening trunk.

Re: Gas pump question
Not to mention the brand of fuel sold. Larger companies would have been more likely to be more on the leading edge of pump technology than their smaller local or regional counterparts.

Re: T5 guys TKX
I would agree. It even shares some of the exact same boss and rib geometry at the bellhousing flange and in the tail shaft housing.
I don't really consider this to be a replacement for the T5. ...
