Starting in either '38 or '39 you could get a voltage regulator in a pickup at no cost upon request. Mallast documented it in the notes of his '38/'39 book.

I do have this Parts and Accessories letter that calls out an 11T-18455-B assembly which indicates that it was made for a '41 big truck. I have never actually seen one or an installation drawing.

We might have a hot air setup. There should be something like a knockout visible from the engine compartment at the top middle...

My '39 pickup had an 11 inch truck clutch installed which made it necessary to pull the pan. Fortunately the entire thing was coming apart so the engine came out before that discovery.
