That's not the correct clutch release shaft. Should have an arm not the spade end, not that that's any show stopper.

Same bracket for 49-53, part number 51A-15517. Works of the shift lever/arms at base of steering column.

Never tried it myself but it might be worth considering....
Use a two pin security screw driver for use with two drilled holes in a screw head.
Check them out on McMaster.

I've seen them as high as $250 working or not.
These are in good shape but not working. Also have one clock retainer in excellent condition. Have not determined price.

There is a bolt brace that goes there to tie the hood lock support to the radiator support.
Part # BA-19924-A with 3/8 -16 nuts and washers.

All that welding destroys the alloy coating on the steel and now you will have corrosion problems.
Everyone has those stamped steel tanks for sale but this outfit will custom make your tank with...

The senders are mounted in a recessed area of the tank. Mounting elsewhere could lead to clearance problems. More butchery!!!!!!

That finally answers my question. There's just no fitting the original float through the 5 hole opening. Could the 6 hole opening receive an adapter that would match the original sender?

So is there an adapter to allow old six hole to those new tanks? Is it just a matter of elevation to clear or is it just that the hole is to small?

The manifolds in my pictures do not fit 49-51. They would interfere with the steering box. I have 49-51 units and the dump flange is much farther back.


Flatford 8. Does what you show for a LH...

No doubt they are after market parts. Issue of steering box clearance is the concern and yes they would fit any flathead V-8 motor but only in specific vehicles. It's the correct vehicle application...

Need some help to identify application for the manifolds in the pictures.
Their not quite the same although they dump in the same location.
Not 49-51 nor 52-53 car, don't know about truck
