Re: 1 year of model a driving
Some on here may remember me. I bought my car with the intention of proving the point that the Model A was built to be driven daily. I put some time getting it sorted out, sold my daily, so I would...

Re: '31 rescued
Ditto to the all black Ford. Great find, and a reminder to us all, they are still out there. Best of luck to the new caretaker of that beautiful car.

Re: found an A for sale
I do love a Pickup but I agree the price seems a bit high. And I also agree the term survivor is mighty subjective, and in this case I don't think it applies.

Re: Newbee
Here's a thought. At some point and time, everyone here was a newbie. But it looks like you have the start of a wonderful project. And as all have said, have fun, take your time, and the outcome will...

Re: Thank you Model A News
Curious also as to what points were deducted for. Car looks great, and I am sure will take many more awards in the future. Enjoy.

Re: Shock absorbers - modern style
Hope you have better luck with them then a friend of mine who put them on his 29. The car rode worse, and he pulled them off the next day. Could have been just a bad set, but they were new.

Re: Introduction & Questions
I would agree with getting it running, and maybe the brakes checked. If what you said about the restore was done properly, then draining and flushing all fluids, refill and freshen up battery and...

Re: my photo collection 15
Great photos, and I wouldn't be to concerned about the occasional odd photo. Most on here just have a good time looking at photos from days gone by and enjoying and comparing the different autos,...

Re: '31 Mail truck
Looks and sounds great. Congrats and enjoy the fruits of your labor. More pics would be nice, or a longer vid. Gotta love that patina.

Re: Engine Knocking
Agree with above. Drop the pan, check for any material in pan, then check rods and mains. Good luck and let us know what you find.

Re: Zenith vs tilly performance
It appears there where a great deal of different Zenith carbs produced. I am running a Zenith 3 that I rebuilt some time ago, and I use my car as my daily. Granted, I live in south Florida, so I...

Re: Hit 5000 miles
Thanks for all the kind words, and I am looking forward to many years of driving this car daily, just as it was intended when it was built. With the roads, fuel and all being better now than it was...

Re: Destined to happen
The build sheets I got with the car showed it had been done in lacquer. It was done at White Post Restorations in Va.

Re: Destined to happen
I think when the paint was applied, late 80s, they must have laid it on pretty thick. So far I have managed to compound and buff out most of the damage, leaving only a few small places where the...

Re: Destined to happen
I do have full coverage, with assessed value, but not worth turning in for. If the damages were more severe I would put in a claim. Since the metal itself wasn't damaged and I feel confident I can...

Re: Destined to happen
That would have been nice, but no such luck. And nobody saw anything. But if I see a white car with black paint on the front right there will be a problem.

Destined to happen
Went out to get in my car and saw where someone had hit the left rear fender, also snagged the license and bent it and the bracket in half. They must have pulled in beside it, then hit it backing...

Great looking Fordor. It will look much better off the trailer and going down the road. Enjoy, and a few more pics would be nice.

Re: Hit 5000 miles
I have electric wiper that works great, but the RainX does fine so I don't have to use them unless it is really bad.

Re: Hit 5000 miles
Since I drive a lot at night, I did put an alt, and turn signals on her. Other than that it is stock. I am currently thinking of getting an EVR for the generator and putting it back on.
