If it was me, think I would take the filter I had to a parts store and compare the length to some other filters from different sources. That would show you any differences.

The distributor doesn't care about the voltage or polarity you are using. The coil is a different story, both matter.

All manufactures upgraded to hydraulic brakes, Ford just lagged behind because of Henry's resistance to change. They tried the cable brakes first for two years. Nothing wrong with keeping a stock...
