Re: PCV valve placement C59A
I just assumed that was what you had....a breathable cap on the front oil-fill tube. That way, the air will enter the front end of engine and facilitate the longest path through the crankcase toward...

Re: PCV valve placement C59A
.
Hey Will....I have one of those Canadian manifolds, NOS. I like them for a couple of reasons. They're aluminum, and I like that oil-fill port toward the front.
Here's what I think I would...

Re: C59A - Purpose of threaded holes on block
Zeke3 pretty-much nailed it, on TWO counts. This second picture shows completed engines being shuttled either to or from the "run-in" positions that spun the engines after assembly.....NOTE the...

Re: Brakes Bendix style
For what it's worth, "super easy to install" does not necessarily make a GOOD disc brake set-up. There isn't much that's more disappointing than a "half way engineered" disc brake system. Have you...

Re: Interesting 1935 Ford Truck

Such a nice, and interesting truck! And what a shame it appears they probably ran out of paint and mixed-up a second batch for the two doors and hood. It's very seldom that a second batch will...

Re: '39 trans to '37 V8?
Clutch arm needs to match year of car that the trans is mounted in, if all else is stock.
As an aside, back in '64 before I knew any better, I bolted a V8-60 up to the stock trans in my '39...

Re: Painted silos

The really slick detail about this 'painting' is that the artist thought far enough ahead that the TREE LINES, both painted on the silos and the natural ones in the distance, all flow together...

Re: The new 1940 Ford Book is now available
It's probably safe to say that it has been something near TEN years now that Michael K. has spent assembling, tweaking, documenting and editing this literary culmination of his ALMOST fifty-year love...

Re: Grand Cherokee rear to 1935
I've known of two different '98 GCs with V8, and both have had bad rear end problems. Both low mileage, both OLD fuddy-duddy drivers....NO SMOKEY BURN-OUTS! DD

Re: Fresh rebuilt 8BA Flathead

Man, your engine is gorgeous. I also like the black. It appears to be an 8BA-type ('49-'53). If so, how is it going to breathe (relieve crankcase pressure) without the original road draft...
