Re: I want a Automatic with overdrive in my T-Bird
I wouldn't be afraid to run the 3.31 gear with an aod. Have had several Grand Marquis and a couple Town Cars that came with 3.08 gears. The cars were probably heavier than a Tbird and had some tall...

Re: My Battery Tender??????
It takes a fair amount of time, I didn't know tenders would charge completely dead batteries. Just have one of those small ones that is like a wall wart on wife's PT Cruiser we hadn't driven for...

Re: 1961 Fords - Where have they all gone?
So in 59 60 61 Australian Full size Fords had 15" wheels and North America had 14" unless a Hipo/police/Taxi, maybe would explain no full covers. I've seen a lot of 67 Fords with the 65/66 hubcaps...

Re: Fog Light Switch Help
Is it a 3 position switch, like off one and 2. Just as a guess I would say power goes in on the terminal with the fuse and out on the other 2. Maybe a combination of fog on one position and backups...

Re: Holley 4150 carburetor development history
I have always had good luck with the few that I've had and several dozen 2100's over the years. I think they are not quite as sophisticated as some other carbs but simple and reliable. I'm not a carb...

Re: Maxxis tires
I have Maxxis brand tires on our camper. I believe they are made in Taiwan, I was trying to avoid the china bombs and goodyear hadn't started making rv tires at the time. So far seem ok.

Re: Painted silos
Nice pictures, lot of talent. Thanks. I have a question, is the cabin/home raised up for water or critters?

Re: Rainex
Did the same, squirted some onto a paper towel and set the container on cowl. It leaked some out of the lid and ran down bottle and left a lasting impression.

Re: Throttle return spring and baling wire
A thinking mans fix, field expedience I think they call it. No one went back to dealer after warranty in rural area in those days unless it was serious. Great looking car.

Direct from the battery is a lot shorter path than through wiring harness and connections at an ignition switch and blower switch. May have worked fine when all was new bright and shiny. Does it...

Re: A ‘40 project for Kube?
Must not have been that of a "high end build" $6000 for a title seems a little high. Sorry to see another old Ford meet it's demise.

Re: chevybarn website
I like all of the old American iron. My preference is Ford, but in the day they all built some solid vehicles. They all built some good looking machines, not so much anymore.

Tanks Inc makes saddle tanks for Model A's that fit behind the running boards. Not sure what models they fit. I see speedway sells them along with others.

Re: Control Valve Partial Rebuild in Car?
I did mine under a 63 after the control valve fell off the ball stud. Worn out from never being greased. At the time Ford had a kit with all the pieces. It wasn't fun laying in the dirt in the...
