Re: Spark plug lifting ring

I've lifted a few motors in the past 70 years and would always have the head off and use two head bolts and chains.

Help identifying brackets

Can I have some help ID'ing these? I suspect "C" is a ringer because of the phillips head hex bolts, but need confirmation before tossing.
Any help appreciated, thanks in advance.

Re: Threads used on Zenith carb

OK, lets cut through all this and see if I have this right.

Re: Threads used on Zenith carb

Then I'm missing that part. One side would be 1/2-20 male, the other side would be female flare? Who has it, I checked a few places and didn't see one.

Threads used on Zenith carb

Anyone know what thread is used on the cast iron inlet of the Zenith carb?
If it's flare, I don't have the sealing surface inside.....it isn't pipe, I tried that and it seems to be a finer thread....

Re: Reinstalling spark and throttle rod into column

Were your rods drilled on the ends too? I'm the third owner of my tudor and am certain I was the first to remove the rods since it was built. I'm really interested to know if yours were drilled.....
