Crank number
Have a crankshaft with the only number I find is L 2021, is this just a lot number, no such number in green book. Anyone have any thoughts on this.

They can be painted, use insulating paint, do not put it on to thick and check to make sure amateur does not rub shoes.

Distributor rotor
Rotor on my distributor slides on & off with very little effort, could this come off & cause damage with engine running, stock 59 engine in 48 car. Thanks
