Re: Distributor Cap Advance Lever Slot
I have five in my collection; on four of them the opening measures .975” and on one it measures .875”.

Re: "Special" Intake Manifold?
My crazy speculative theory is that this is a 28/29 RHD intake manifold, extensively modified. The boss for the vacuum port is in the same location as the boss on RHD intakes where the bell crank...

Re: Condenser Capacity
Yeah, you can use the larger V8 condensers in an A or B car without a problem as long as they don't leak. And an A condenser will work fine when using a B distributor in an A car (although obviously...

Re: New Ahooga Horns from Suppliers
Sounds like there’s a niche open for a small-time operator who did motor repairs and had a big stock of good sheet metal parts so he could fully restore cores.

Re: New Ahooga Horns from Suppliers
I'm curious, why would folks buy brand new horns for $325 when you can buy a well-restored original from any one of several private sellers for less than that? I'm not mad at anyone, just curious...

Re: Fuel polishing worked
Here's a pump that flows 120gph under 12V power, I bet it would flow a significant fraction of that under 6V power. So that's 1-2 gpm, which is probably about the fill rate you would get with a...

Re: Fuel polishing worked
Now that I'm thinking about it, I wonder if it would work to run the whole thing backwards. You have the F1NC sitting atop a bucket on the ground. A hose runs from the bucket, through a 12V pump,...

Re: Fuel polishing worked
What about using something like this as part of the system? You would rig this funnel over the gas tank and then run a hose from underneath the tank, through a 12V pump, up to the funnel. Would that...

Re: How to rig temp fuel delivery
OK, so you take the fuel line off the firewall-mounted filter and then you clamp the flexible hose to that on one end. Then you use a small tank or even a gas can on the other end. Seems reasonable....

How to rig temp fuel delivery
I'm helping someone sell a Tudor that's been in storage for a few years. I want to show in the listing that the car will run. But I'm pretty sure the carb is gummed up, and there may be rust in the...

Re: Serial Number and Year of production
It could be a 1930. There are ways to build a case based on the preponderance of parts. Early 1930s had a number of shared parts with the '29s, while still having 1930 styling.
The frame number...

So what I hear you saying is that we need to make sure Mike is taking a statin and a baby aspirin, and getting his steps in.

Drive the pin out of the collar at the bottom of the distributor shaft and remove the collar to expose the tab at...
