Re: Canadian Model A Info

It's not registered yet. It came off a ranch in a remote part of BC, reassembled in the mid-90's but never completed. I'm assuming something broke on it in life and it was taken apart so parts could...

Canadian Model A Info

Gents, I was perusing the site last night and noticed a thread that had a sheet of engine numbers, and the corresponding day/month/year the engine was produced.

So naturally I took a look at my...

Re: Tail light Wiring

I've chatted with the fellows at Strong's Garage here in Alberta. We may be able to do a trade for a later column, they may have a guy looking for an early '28 column.

Thanks for everyone's...

Re: Tail light Wiring

I wonder if it would be easier and cheaper to source a new early 28 wiring harness for the lights etc. as opposed to sourcing a new column.

Re: Tail light Wiring

The car is supposed to be a '29 however I do know it was re-pieced back together out of a number of barns and a field in a remote cattle ranch. So I'm guessing it's a combination of a coupe of years....

Re: Generator Wiring

Gents, I greatly appreciate all your assistance and knowledge. I believe have hooked it up correctly now with one side to the output of the generator and the other to the battery.

Re: Generator Wiring

Thanks Marshall. The issue I’m having is I can’t find a pic with the cutout that is on my generator. I have seen plenty with the cylindrical style, but not mine so I’m unsure how to wire this one.

Well I appreciate everyone's responses. I'm going to pull the pan and see what I can see, and go from there. I'd rather put some more time into it rather than half ass it and end up way farther...

Re: Tillotson Carburetor Identification

Thanks Mr. Texas. My understanding is once these threads are done for you can't replace them as it's a fuel fitting? Am I wrong on this?

Re: Tillotson Carburetor Identification

I've gone through the carb and determined the threads in the fuel inlet are worn right out. The fitting won't tighten well and can't get a seal. Looks like I'll be replacing at least the top half of...

Re: Tillotson Carburetor Identification

Thanks for the suggestion mcgarrett but I’m in Canada and they don’t ship outside the US. I’m going to do some more research and see what I can find.
