Just a thought as was noted the original restoration was done by a gentleman that was known for accuracy and this was in the 1970’s. Perhaps he used a genuine Ford NOS shifter as they were available...

Blessed and thankful I still have the original radiator on our ‘30 Coupe. At 69,236 original miles and my Dad purchasing it from the original owner back in 1958, I would say that was $50.00 well...
