like many others, I will polish, finish, fix, repair or even upgrade if needed but will not change it! (keep the history of the car as found) and be the next "custodian"

My 28 does not have turning lights, so it was good to see the use of arm-hand signaling before turning in the video; but the driver behind me does not understand them when I do it !!! :rolleyes:

I found an accessory for the model A called "timing gear oiler", my A-28 does not have it... so the question is: in the procedure to prepare the engine to operate do I need to hand lubricate this...

I will say that if you get an alternator with a given polarity, one will not be able to change polarity due to the solid state hardware that comes inside it.. (...course I may be wrong..)

quick test: set engine rpm above normal idle, disconnect one terminal of the battery, if car continues to run then gen is OK...

Purdy: you are right, high voltage generates when generator is not grounded my...

The amateurs took a Vintage Harley from a garage that did'nt even had windows, my friend (the looser) did not have locks in the tracts!! what a loss! he has been crying for a few years now ...

Thanks for the input once more! here there are some results: with positive to ground,

The cranking of the motor felt different and the car started sooner (go figure), the cranking seems smooth...

Every time I drive my A-28, I lose 3 or 4 pounds of mass (fat), on a 5 miles ride (when I used to drive it), so I just do not imagine 300 miles a day in it... It will Take a lot of preparation for...
