Could I have "torsional Vibration"? My '30 phaeton runs smooth as silk under power. Then on deceleration it really gives me a foot massage. Up to 25 mph it is almost unnoticeable. Then at 30-35...

MSMARON, If the one you have with bowl adapter is the one intended for Lincoln Merc. carbs, you may have to obtain the (scarce) emulsion tube that came in most SW installs as the "fuel line kit no....

I had a Southwind in my '29 sedan. Mounted it to the angled top portion of passenger side floorboard as did not want to drill firewall. Worked great. It does not have to be mounted exactly vertical....

My friend has a 1953 F-100 pickup with stock 215 OHV 6 cyl. engine that has developed a major problem. I have a good 300 engine and attached transmission. Am considering a swap to the later engine....

Is the engine using the original Fuel Pump? If user went electric and did not plug where the fuel pump rod rides the camshaft, you will loose oil pressure.
Just another thought.

Keep in mind there was a BIG difference in gasoline formula back when those spec's were made and todays mixes.

If you try to match those specs I would use the premium at the pump and NO alcohol.

WANTED 19 tooth Speedo gear.

I put a BW overdrive in my model A and it has a 21 tooth driven speedometer gear. I need a 19 tooth for a closer reading speed. (3.78)
I used a 1953 Ford unit. Please check your parts stashes....

I like the elimination of engine vibration on deceleration. Not a lot of advantage I guess beside novelty, maybe a litte milage increase because the engine isn't reving on long downhills. ...

Here's my HOMEMADE overdrive. I used a '53 Borg Warner unit and have all the advantages, ie free wheeling, electric shift, kick down etc.
