Re: Fact or Fiction: Headlight Lens Gasket

False notion! My 45B Coupe has neoprene with aluminum reflectors since neoprenen became available. There is no evidence of tarnishing. My 190A Victoria has neoprene and aluminum since 2016 and there...

Missing Body Type Numbers

The lowest body type number given to a Model "A" is 35 for the Phaeton. I wonder if there were body types 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 & 30 that did not make it into production?

This is a good question for...

Re: Grab handle

Re: Scrap Drives May Have Trashed Cars, But Were the Drives Necessary?

The scrap drives for WW2 were necessary, but Lady Bird Johnson's scrap drive to close down scrap yards was not necessary.

Re: converting to 1970 v8 points for model a

The arguments for the modern points are bogus in my opinion.

Re: if you could go back in time, what Model "A" parts would you bring back?

The metal tire cover depicted in the service bulletins, some Unity Sport Lights with closed car brackets, some 1930-'31 fenders lights, a couple of sets of 1930-'31 fenders, at least 2 sets of 1931...

Re: U-Joint rebuild

I made new keepers from the wire of a coat hangar. The u-joint with my homemade keepers is in my Victoria and that joint has been to 70 MPH once.

Re: converting to 1970 v8 points for model a

Re: whats the best & worst car to buy in 1930

1934 Plymouth would have been my best choice. Worst choices would be any cars with a body by Fisher, a car with knee-action front suspension, and any car with a vacuum shifted transmission.

Re: Replacing king pins
