Re: Ford holley carb fuel inlet fitting
The three fittings you posted a picture of, seal on the taper at the end like the original factory fuel line on earlier carbs. The fitting I supplied info on, seals with a fiber washer under the hex....

Re: Holley 4150 carburetor development history
Ford did build some 429's in '69 or '70 if not both years with the Rochester Quadrajet. I have seen them and they are also in the Rochester manual. Not sure why they used them. Maybe a shortage of...

Re: 1955 ford F100 with 239 eng carb ID
The kits these days are kind of universal. One kit will fit all years from '39 thru '56 Fords. You might want to spend just a few dollars more to get a kit from Daytona in Florida with a quality...

Re: 1955 ford F100 with 239 eng carb ID
According to my old Holley catalog/manual it shows the EBV carb used on the '54 F100. Unfortunately it doesn't show the model number for '55 F100's. Just the heavier '55's with governor carbs.
If...

Re: Carburator guru !! Sal cicala !!
Thanks to all for the kind words ! It's appreciated. I'm just a retired old car and carburetor nut that tries to have fun and supplement my retirement at the same time.

Re: Need some advice on carburetor linkage...
Good Job Daniel. Also, with the Holley, if you put the linkage rod to the carb in the hole that is lower on the carb throttle lever, it will require less travel distance at the carb to get to WOT.

Re: Holley 4150 carburetor development history
I'm pretty sure the T-Birds only got the Holley 4150 in '57. I think Mercury 312's favored the Carter AFB, but they were also put on Ford 312's. Don't think the Mercury 312 ever got a 4100 Autolite...

Re: Ford 56 Starter
On my '55 Mercury, I converted it from a Mercomatic to a Borg Warner T10 4 speed from a '63 390. I used a factory '55 stick shift bellhousing, and never had any issues with the starter. I think maybe...

Re: Holley 4150 carburetor development history
I've been doing all carbs for a long time, and I think the Ford 4100 and 2100 are great carbs. Also easy to work on. They may be the only carbs you can actually run with the tops off, if you're ever...

Re: Holley 4150 carburetor development history
I agree with what Ted is saying and also, I believe the Holley 4150 design was needed because of the lower hood lines every year. The Holley 2140/4000 teapot type carb was considerably taller. So...
