Someone before me drilled and tapped the center of the cover and used a screw to keep the aluminum gear from knocking. It worked fine untill the thread stripped. One of the club members had a cover,...

Timing gear cover

I have to repair the timing gear cover on my 1930 Tudor (plugging a hole).Is the metal cast iron or forged steel? This will help me to decide if I should TIG weld it or braze it.

I have a set that I bought from Berts in Colorado. I have been happy with them and they seem to wear well. The diamond tread,similar to the Good Year tires, track better then the Firestones.

I'm using the molded linings with the cast iron drums. Before they went to disc brakes all modern cars had molded linings with their cast iron drums.

I put a bottle jack on the tire and and used the back bumper on my truck to basically jack up the truck and broke the tie bead in the process.

After a new rebuild and radiator recore, 50-50 mix has been working fine for the last 8 years. Never runs hot and no more putting up with rust in the system.

I put seatbelts in my tudor to basically keep me in the car incase the doors pop open I stay with the car. I think that you are basically on your own when you are involved in a high impact accident...

Has anyone replaced the rubber pads to the stock rear motor mounts with engine in car and if so what is the degree of difficulty?
