While a bit off topic, at the in-season Speedway Motors coffee cruises a participant on occasion drives an original 41 ford 4 cyl pickup, I believe by this late date production, the 4 cyl had evolved...

As Andy said, a hefty adjustable wrench & carefully placed small bites, usually bends are on the outer most lip, if it extends further inboard it can be more difficult & wrenching it may require...

As a temporary remedy I visited a local ACE hardware & opted for # 6 clear nylon flat washers as the s.s were in limited supply, they fit fine & I first screwed them into an unfinished moulding to...

Appears that forty41rag incorporates a reversed eye spring, & really don't see a great shackle attitude difference from the initial post to the comparisons posted.

Not of concern in this case but recall the BB trucks utilized a fender well positioned higher in the fender & wider to accommodate the dimensionally larger wheel, not certain if the mounting brackets...

With such a new & bold grille treatment for the 32-model year it would seem the manufacturing & stamping process would certainly have survived in stills or film of the day.

Further thinking that the v-8 distributor in it's down low position coupled with the funneling attitude of the lower radiator pan & rutted roads of the day, during a down pour, those additional holes...
