I had an A block once that had a couple cracks in the upper eater jacket, on the passenger side. The guy was suppose dot weld it. He is a certified welder, and even does work for the local gas...

Re: Head bolts

Re: 0.812 King Pin reamer

Re: model b intake diagnosis

What did the spark plugs look like on that end of the engine?

Here is what I recommend. Put marvel mystery oil in the crankcase, and in the fuel tank. Drive the thing. Then pull the plugs,...

Re: The Engine Assembly Line

Re: Model A Accessories

Re: multi or not?

I found out the hard way that the pedals will also need changed.

I hear that Fort Wayne Clutch can renew your multi-disc.

My complete unit is still sitting on the workbench.

Re: Model A News, Jan-Feb 2019, Fuse Block

I have never blown my fuse. However, I have always heard that if it blows, in just a matter of a couple of minutes the car will quit running. I hear it fries the points. Any one heard of this?

Re: Look What Followed Me Home

I have what sounds akin to what Synchro90 has, only modern lining and cast drums all the way around. One of the guys in our club took my car for a spin, and I warned him my car has good brakes. He...

Re: Storing restored model A without a garage or carport

Buy a car cover the first week. Make sure they have it in-stock. If need be, throw it away in 4 months. It's cheaper. Your insurance company may one day require it to be stored in a locked...

Re: Storing restored model A without a garage or carport

May I ask what is your long-term plan? Sorting to me means just wrapping up, and fixing a few odds and ends, not major surgery. Since you live in Texas, I'd think the Sun is more of a long-term...

Re: Big Valves and porting?

My car has the bigger valves, and the Stipe IB-330 higher lift cam. When you stop, and turn right onto a ramp and step on it you can feel the acceleration. Especially when going up a grade.
