Re: tell a Model A related story

I would have tried "Use more power and feed the engine Marvel Mistry Oil" first, then if that didn't work I would have tried "dusting" the Bon AMI trick.

Still smilin', Ken :)

Re: Front hub inner bearing race

Another clue that it's an expert is that at the start it says: "having trouble removing the racer plates in the hubs of your tire?"

Re: lowering question

How will lowering the rear affect the toe-in? The toe-in is set by the length of the tie-rod.

Re: tell a Model A related story

I've heard of dusting Bon Ami into the intake of a running engine for seating piston rings and/or deglazing cylinder walls.

Re: Mouse retardant - dryer sheets

Re: Power shut-off switch

[QUOTE=Bruce of MN;2067925]Mine is on the ground side and is located here on my Ď31 coupe

Re: main seal leak

In post #4 you said: "Rear seal and oil level is good."

You still haven't admitted if the leak is at the front main or the rear main, which is it front or rear?

How much does it leak?

Re: Itís getting harder to drive my A

Make sure you do your pre-operation(s) exercises. The people that don't do them have lots of post-op problems.

Re: overheating

If you're replacing the head gasket it would be a good time to upgrade to a high compression head, if'n you don't already have one. Don't ask.

Re: genius battery tender

Ditto, it may take longer than 3 seconds, the booklet doesn't say that you need to hold the button in for a bit to get it to co-operate.
