I stripped a 35 Ute rear axle last year and was surprised to see a very old welded axle. It had lasted a long time but I obviously didnít reuse it again!

Hi Alex. That’s a nice 36. It appears to be a new reproduction temperature gauge. The originals that are still working are hard to find these days.

If you haven’t got new stub axles yet, boling brothers in California can supply a brand new Lincoln style brake kit that will bolt direct to your 35 stub axles. I’ve installed them on my convertible...

Thanks all. I got a reply back from Apple hydraulics. They send them out with AW-100 hydraulic oil. So that’s what I’ll use Thanks Dan.

I’ve sent Apple an email too but being a weekend I don’t expect a response till next week. Apple machine the case to use a different seal to original, I guess I may have to wait for their response....

My MCF engine was built by Mark Kirby.
Iím not sure the year but it came to Australia in a 34 coupe. Apparently it was a 15k build back then.

Hi guys Iím installing my 35 houdailes
I did a search but couldnít find the answer, what grade hydraulic oil should be used? They were rebuilt by Apple hydraulics.

May I suggest pulling the bulb out of the pump. Get yourself a jug of boiling water and place the sender in it. You will get an idea of where it sits with boiling water.

Tim yes it’s the cross over. It’s a Rhd vehicle so the exhaust is opposite to what you’re used to seeing.
