Thanks so far everybody. I did try adjusting the linkage until the adjuster fell out. No go. I will measure the friction disc today and see about it's thickness. Don't feel that anything is bent.

A friend inherited a 50 Mercury with the engine and trans out of it. He found the parts and engine that came out of the car later and installed them. I am trying to help him get it...

Re: how do i remove windshield wiper switch on 40 ford

There is a nut under the dash that holds the switch on. It is thin like on a toggle switch if I remember correctly. loosen it and remove the arm that goes to the wiper motor. should pull out then....

That's it, top rear corner curves down on the coupe. Fordor doors can be trimed to fit. I think the sedan delivery doors are the same as the fordor.
Nice pics kgriff, send me those doors.:D

Sorry, KSFORTYFORDS, I found the conv. seat, it is a front.

You have the dimensions. I replaced my front seat with some medium or high density foam, about 6" thick. Also did a friends conv....
