Back in HS I had a '65 Falcon 2 dr. wagon with a 289 and a C4. It had a 2.80 rear end with 14 inch wheels. Didn't have a tach but cruised at 65-70 all the way the time on the freeway.

From what I can determine the switch I have from my '54 Ranch Wagon is

part number: B5A-13341-AAnd a '56 T Bird takes switch part number:
B6SZ-13341-A


So it sounds like the one I have...

If its the same as a '54 Ranch Wagon. I have an extra one that I got when I changed the manual trans column to an automatic column. Judging by the wires its original. Can't speak to its condition....

I use head bolts to attach the chain sling to. In a pinch I've also wrapped a strap around the exhaust manifolds but I've been told (and agree) that its not a good idea since manifolds are prone to...

Cowl mount or top of the frame like a '30's roadster? Or since you're in the PNW maybe adapting a marine unit?

I've heard of using MMO in the oil and gas tank but never in the radiator. IMO there are better commercial water pump lubricants but that's JMO.
