I use the cork gasket with "Gasgacinch" on the pan and adjoining gasket. Nothing on the block. Never had a problem and it is a lot easier to take the gasket off the pan, if necessary, than the...

All I've done is take the valve cover off and take out the spark plugs so it is easy to raise and lower the valves.

We have taken many cross country trips in our coupe. We just take the seats and have a trunk. When we get back we put the seats in and the grand-kids are happy.

My experience has been that I just went to a DMV with the engine #, and paper work and if that wasn't enough I went to another DMV . That was quite a while back but it worked.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I sawed it off and will get a new armature. The shaft was crooked as a dogs hind leg.

Try using a steam iron. Just a little steam at a time. Let it dry. It worked for me.

Percentage wise the plate blocks quite a bit of radiator surface. On our cross country trips if the weather was really hot I would raise the plate to the horizontal position. Never had a problem.

Metal valve stems will require some type of an adapter if you want to get air at most filling stations. At least that has been my experience.
