Re: 1926 TT value?

James,
About four years ago, I picked up a 1926 TT Express Stake Bed Truck from a farmer. It was all original and I gave the gentleman $5000. It ran, but needed restoration. I restored the truck...

Re: Value of a 1928 AR Pickup

Thanks everyone! Interesting discussion. There is a lot to consider and I'll look at it close with an objective eye. I know the restoration is decent, but not perfect.

Re: Value of a 1928 AR Pickup

Thanks to all that replied:
From what I was told, the "AR" meant it was the first "A" design produced after the Model T. I will have a chance to look it over and take some photos next week. It...

Value of a 1928 AR Pickup

What is a rough fair value for a 1928 AR Pickup Truck. I have a chance to get one that was restored around 2000 and has sat in a business display since. It looks good, but I need to check it over...

Re: Gland rings

They are necessary. The manifold will warp/misalign over time and leaks will develop.

Re: Price Check on T sedan

Lanny,
In today's market, and without seeing it up close and personal, a fair price would be around $5000. Being that it is untouched, makes the value more. If you have any questions PM me.
Best,...

Re: Cracked fender

Mike,
I have repaired many by tig welding and reforming. It is also good to drill a small hole at the end of the crack to relieve the stress line before welding. I have used this technique for years...

Re: Did 26-27 TT Frames get Serial No Stamped?

Hi,
I have a 1926 TT with the express metal cab. The frame was stamped on the passenger side frame (top), but the cab covers it when bolted down.

Paul

Re: Model T hood repair Hinges

I have done a few where I use a combination of TIG welding and strategic metal replacement where it needs it. I restore as much of the original metal as possible. They look new afterwards and...

Re: No nuts

rob63mess,
Glad it worked out for you! Don't give up on the T's. They need a little TLC once in awhile, but what a pleasure they are!

Re: No nuts

rob63mess,
I had a similar issue with my 1925 TT truck. Turned out that it was the two of the coils boxes were weak. Replaced them and put new plugs in and had lots of power.

Paul

Re: Front end repairs

As it does require a bit of work, welding (I prefer TIG) and then reshaping works out very well.

The 25 TT direct from Ford should have a metal Express body. Many of the beds were built by Ford and have the Ford script stamped in the metal bed frame in the rear. The standard transmission was...
