I suggest not using your Fluke on this I wires out my fluke attemting to measure the low voltage feeding the coIL could have purely been just bad luck or something is creating large spikes on that...

If you can sit tight on the conversion I suggest you do. I'm currently working with them as the unit I installed after about 2 hours however I didn't have the plug wires they require you to use....

Thks where on the coil do you connect - I connected to the coil where the condenser is mounted. Is that the correct place or should it be the top post of the coil?

Well I've resolved the issue and it was not just one problem and within a week give a snapshot of all the ugly details so others will learn from my mistakes.

Thks unfortunately I don't have one. Of those the side that connects 1to the carburator arm I did in a vise 1 and it should be fine it's the side on the cable side I'm debating best approach

All sheet metal is in place and I can't say I have a huge issue with heat but from what I've determined so far the cooler I can keep the distributor coil (both skip Haney rebuilds and other coils...
