Re: 1928 Phaeton curtain pan hinges.

Bick,

Re: 1928 Phaeton curtain pan hinges.

Seth,
Ford installed curtain trays in phaetons several months into 1929. My phaeton is a Jan 29 car. They did change the tray door latch from a metal latch to a hole sometime in late 28 or early...

Re: 1928 Phaeton curtain pan hinges.

Bick,
I have a 29 phaeton I am restoring and did a lot of research on the curtain trays, as mine was totally missing. There were some changes for the location and the latch through production. I...

Re: Mounting Rumble Lid Hinges; Where Did I Go Wrong!?

It appears you have a 28 or 29 roadster looking at the stiffening ribs in the rear fender wells. I think Steve is on to something in the panel below the lid. Measure the height of the panel and...

Re: Frame paint/finish

I painted my chassis parts with Southern Polyurethanes (a Georgia company) epoxy primer. It is UV resistant unlike PPG DPxx epoxy primer. It has a satin finish like Ford originally had.

1929 original headlight bucket

For sale, 1929 original headlight bucket. This is the 2 bulb style headlight, verses the one bulb style used in 1928. There is some minor surface rust on the nickel plating. I see no dents or...

Re: Where to drill the hole for sidemount

Don Turley posted a neat way to drill the hole for the side mount bracket some time ago. It is pretty simple. I am attaching some pictures I saved from his post. If you search for Don's post, he...

Re: Engle's A & T Parts

I sent (at my own expense) a 28-mid 30 CCPU floorpan to Ahoogh A & T for a pattern about 5 or 6 years ago. I called them 5 or 6 times, about once a year, to see if they were making progress on the...

Re: 28-29 Front welled fenders

Steve,
I have two original fenders with wells in them. One is a NOS fender for my 29 CCPU. The holes aren't quite round, but slight elongated in my opinion. The holes aren't quite really oval...
